We are wrapping up our season with one last trip in Misty Fjords. Look for that trip's photos shortly after our Labor Day break. Until then, check out the monthly archives (in the column to the right) for the rest of the summer photos.
This powerful waterfall roars down two separate arms.
From the kayakers point of view.
These guys seemed to enjoy their beach time; then the tide rose and floated them off.
For violence. What a life the salmon have. They fight their way all the way up the creek only to land in the grasp of a hungry bear.
This guy was on the beach a lot. He paid no attention to kayakers, preferring instead to concentrate on consuming large quantities of grass.
Our Misty Fjords kayakers were very good at spotting wildlife. In the coming days, I'll show you what they found.
As soon as our next guests arrive today we will head for a week of kayaking and hiking in Misty Fjords. We will post more photos when we return.
It rains in Alaska sometimes. But that doesn't stop the kayakers who have the proper hats.
