Reason Number 3...Da' Bears.   This could easily be our number one reason, especially for Kim.  She absolutely loves photographing bears!  We have 100's of bear pictures and we are sure to get more this year.  However, new for her this year is an HD movie camera.  Bears beware...

Number 4...the Flora.   The rain forest and the marine environment make South East Alaska a very lush place.  Friends tell us that much of it can be eaten (no thanks!).  We leave that to the bears and other creatures that want it worse than we do.  We just enjoy the scenary.

Number 5...the Sea Food Eating.  The fishing is fun but the seafood eating is even better.  A means to a wonderful end (for the fish, that is).  We eat what we catch and we rarely have leftovers.   Ya just can't get any fresher...

Number 6...The Trails.   Many people like to add a little hiking experience to the kayaking.  We have a US Forest Service permit that allows us to take you onto Tongass Forest property for just that purpose.  You never know what you may find in the woods...
