The Edge.  No, not the guitar player for the band U2.  The movie with Anthony Hopkins and Alec Baldwin.  Haven't heard of it?  Not surprised.  It is pretty bad, but it is Alaska (hmmm, maybe not all)

No. 9  March of the Penguins.  OK, so it's not Alaska...we didn't say they have to be to make the list.  Just good fun outdoor stuff with great scenary that reminds us of Alaska.

Movie Night on The SE Alaska Mothership

Each group and each week is different but we often have at least one movie night.  It could be a rainy night or just a relaxing night to rest those sore kayak bodies.  We have quite a library of DVDs onboard but we have noticed that the preferences tend to be towards outdoor/Alaska/adventure movies.  So, we have a few of those and are always looking for more.  Here are some of our favorites:

Comments:  One of those rare times when the movie is as good as the book...William Hurt is incredible in a supporting role.

SE Alaska Kayaking and Crabbing

It would not be SE Alaska if it were not for the Dunginess Crab.  At the end of a day of kayaking be ready to catch and clean crab.  They are delicious.

SE Alaska Fishing From the Kayak

Some of our guests come to Alaska with no fishing experience.  We can usually help them find a fish to catch.  Other guests come as experts.  I try to stay out of the way and let them have fun (and learn a little every time).
