A group of friends joined us on a preseason paddling adventure to work the kinks out of our gear and procedures to get ready for the 2012 charter season. This was an early start (May 12) and Alaska had lots of snow fall this winter. We found plenty. From our starting point near Hoonah it was not bad but the snow and ice increased as we moved north.
Yikers...Hikers!
It was also early for the whales at Point Adolphus. They were there but not in the numbers they will be later in the summer.
