One of our favorite places. The photographer caught some gorgeous morning light. You have to wear a blindfold before we go there so you will not know where it is...hah! Fortunately Alaska is full of wonderful sights and anchorages. Come paddling with us and you will see lots of them...
More and more of our trips are starting and ending in small towns like Kake, Hoonah and Pelican (maybe Craig soon). It offers a fantastic experience to paddlers to see Alaska from a small plane or ferry and to see a small Alaska town. More importantly, it adds a day to your trip that would otherwise be spent motoring in Abyssinia. The cost is usually very reasonable (for example: $69 to fly from Juneau to Hoonah). The sights are worth it too!
