We see both in Southeast Alaska. The way I tell them apart is the Tufted Puffin has a funny hairdo, and the Horned Puffin has some cool eye makeup. This guy sure looks like a Tufted to me.

Fishing On The Alaska Kayak Mother Ship is Good...
He did it again this year. On his birthday he caught a huge halibut in excess of 200 lbs! We let her go. A female halibut that size will lay millions of eggs. Not to worry...we had halibut for dinner.
Orcas...
...are darn hard to photograph because they seem to always be on the move. Sometimes you get a little lucky.
